𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬!

A series of lectures where faculty researchers share the latest research from their labs, including developments, discoveries, their research paths, challenges, and achievements.

This time, we heard from Prof. Yael Yaniv, head of the Bioenergetic and Bioelectrical Systems Lab and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, in a fascinating lecture titled “Beat the Heart Clocks.”

Yael’s lab is exploring the heart clocks, understanding how they become broken with the ultimate goal to fix them. In her talk she showed that life emerges from functions of a system of synchronized clocks and deteriorate when the clocks are unsynchronized. She also showed how to measure the degree of synchronization non invisibly with explements that ranges from mice to humans.

Thank you, Yael, for a fascinating and informative lecture. We enjoyed listening and learning.
