International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day.
We’ve asked our female researchers which message they would like to send to our female students.
Here are their inspiring answers:

Assoc. Prof. Daphne Weihs: “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” (Eleanor Roosevelt). Never lose your curiosity!

Dr. Limor Freifeld: Find mentors and role models, and listen and learn from them all – men and women alike. This way, the choices you make will be informed. But ultimately – follow your own unique path that is right for you.

Dr. Arielle Fischer: It is important to find a supportive environment, but one that will also challenge you and make you ‘get out of the box’ and out of your comfort zone. This kind of environment will make you grow.

Dr. Katrien Vandoorne: “Yes we can” and “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish” are two quotes of the Obamas’ that I aspire to. I do think every woman should believe in herself and be surrounded by people that believe in her. Therefore, I dedicate this quote to my inspirational mother, who passed away two years ago, and to my strong daughter, whom I teach to be in her turn inspirational.
