Congratulations to the ISF grant winners

We are happy to share that five faculty members have been awarded ISF grants – the Israel Science Foundation, for fascinating research to be conducted in their labs in the coming years.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬:
• Prof. Shulamit Levenberg, Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering Laboratory: Developing hybrid bioprinting to create engineered tissue implants with improved mechanical properties.

• Associate Prof. Dror Seliktar, Head of the Biomaterials & Regenerative Medicine Laboratory: Hydrogels for creating an artificial myogenic structure for injured skeletal muscle tissue.

• Associate Prof. Yoav Shechtman, Head of the Nano-Bio-Optics Laboratory: Developing methods for extracting 3D information from optical imaging and analysis based on neural networks to characterize spatial flow and measure neural activity.

• Associate Prof. Yael Yaniv, Head of the Bio-electric and Bio-energetic Systems Laboratory: The mechanisms responsible for the decline in the function of the aging pacemaker in males and females.

• Associate Prof. Dvir Yelin, Head of the Biomedical Optics Laboratory: Diagnosing hearing problems using imaging of eardrum vibrations.
We are very proud and wish all the researchers and research teams the best of luck!
