Congratulations to Prof. Yoav Shechtman and Prof. Netanel Korin, on recieving the European Research Council Proof of Concept (ERC PoC) grants
Congratulations 🎉 to our esteemed faculty members, Prof. Yoav Shechtman and Prof. Netanel Korin, on being awarded the European Research Council Proof of Concept (ERC PoC) grants, each receiving a grant of €150,000.
The grant for Prof. Shechtman’s Nano-Bio Optics lab will be used to develop a highly sensitive measurement of protein concentrations through computational microscopy. This method is currently undergoing testing to monitor the immune system’s proteins in cancer patients, aiming to detect early side effects for preventive intervention, in collaboration with Rambam Medical Center.
The grant for Prof. Korin’s Cardiovascular Nano-Med Engineering lab will contribute to the development of a solution addressing the formation of blood clots in artificial heart valves, specifically related to flow characteristics through the valve. The research is part of the doctoral work of Yevgeniy Kreinin.
We are proud of you, well done! 👏
