Congratulations to Prof. Amir Landsberg, Head of the Molecular Cardiology and Muscle Research Lab,
and to Levron Medical, the company he founded, on winning the prestigious Jon De-Haan Prize for Medical Technological Innovation
at the ICI Innovation Conference in Cardiology.
Levron is a pioneer in a new category of heart failure treatment:
Cardio-Respiratory Physiology (CRPA) therapy.
The CEO of the company is Amir Ronen, and Dr. Amit Livneh is the CTO. Dr. Shimon Akhvaiz serves as Chairman and Co-Founder of the company. All three are Technion graduates.
This innovation was born out of in-depth academic research, including two doctoral theses and a master’s thesis, leveraging Prof. Landsberg’s unique expertise as a physician (MD) and holder of a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the Technion.
The prize includes a grant of $200,000 to further develop their groundbreaking technology.
