TecH MRC
The May-Blum-Dahl Technion Human MRI Research Center (Tech MRC) was established in 2023 with the support of May-Blum-Dahl families. Located on the Technion’s main campus in Neve Sha’anan, the center provides state-of-the-art MR equipment, infrastructure, and expertise for the development and application of MRI methodology in research, in a flexible and relaxed environment with easy accessibility and parking.
The center is child-friendly, has the capacity to run electroencephalogram (EEG) simultaneous to MRI scans, and has accessibility to required peripheral equipment for cutting-edge functional imaging studies, including an NNL LCD screen and response box, an OptoAcustics noise-cancellation auditory system, and an EyeLink eye-tracking system
In addition to our advanced MRI facilities, Tech MRC also offers a mock-scanner, an MRI simulator that replicates the MRI real MRI experience, including noises and vibrations throughout the scan, to acclimate and train participants with the research setting prior to entering the actual device, and a Kinarm robotic system for motion analysis, making it well suited to research on a wide range of populations.
At Tech MRC, we promote interdisciplinary collaborations to be at the forefront of research and technology, and to address unmet clinical needs. We are open to investigators from the academic community, research laboratories, and industry.
MRI Research
Our center offers a research-dedicated 3T Siemens Prisma MRI scanner with novel capabilities, providing high-speed structural and functional imaging for a wide range of studies, including:
fMRI | Susceptibility weighted imaging
CINE | Spectroscopy | |
MR angiography | High resolution anatomical scanning
Diffusion | Standard clinical sequences
Perfusion |
