Shape the Future of Motion: Registration Now Open for Hack4Motion 2026 Innovation Challenge

Technion Faculties of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Technion Social Hub, t:hub Technion center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Olympic Committee of Israel, and the Israeli Paralympic Committee, have officially opened registration for Hack4Motion 2026.

The event invites students and alumni to bridge advanced engineering and creativity, tackling real-world challenges to engineer life-changing technologies in motion, sports, and rehabilitation. Participating teams will develop solutions across three main tracks:

  • Physiological Monitoring & Performance Enhancement: Sensor development for health tracking, injury prevention, and elevating athletic achievement.

  • Bionics & Prosthetics: Next-generation design of artificial organs, prosthetics, and assistive technologies.

  • Rehabilitation Engineering & Adapted Equipment: Adapted hardware for mobility limitations, smart control systems, and human-machine interfaces.

The hackathon journey includes two preliminary sessions designed to prepare teams for the main event:

  • November 19, 2026 (16:00–18:30): Online Kickoff & Strategy Workshop via Zoom.

  • November 22, 2026 (16:30–19:00): Social Impact Workshop at the Mehudar Center, Technion.

  • November 26, 2026 (12:00–22:00): Main Event – A 10-hour innovation sprint, final pitches, and awards ceremony at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technion.
