  • פרופ' גת הצטרף לטכניון בשנת 1975, ומונה לפרופסור מן המניין להנדסה ביו-רפואית בשנת 1991. במהלך 1981 היה עמית מחקר במעבדת מונאקוב, אוניברסיטת ציריך, שוויץ. בשנים 1989-1990 היה פרופסור למתמטיקה יישומית ('Chaire Municipale') במחלקה למדעי המחשב ומתמטיקה שימושית, אוניברסיטת גרנובל, ובין 1995 ל 1996 היה פרופסור באותה המחלקה. מספטמבר 1999-פברואר 2000 היה פרופסור אורח במעבדות הלאומיות של Oak Ridge, Oak Ridge, ארה"ב. ב2005 היה פרופסור אורח במכון לביו-סייברנטיקה והנדסה ביו-רפואית, האקדמיה הפולנית למדעים, ורשה.
